Note: On 11 December 2009, after the Tribunal released its 2009 Report, the Queensland Government announced the rate payable to members of the state's Legislative Assembly (MLA) would increase to $130,540 from 1 January 2010.
Note 3 to the remuneration schedule, page 33 of the tribunal report, specifies that if the MLA remuneration rate becomes higher than the determined rate in the report, the higher amount is to be used. Because the MLA remuneration rate was higher than the rate set out in the Tribunal's Report, the amount of $130,540 was substituted as the figure used by the Tribunal to calculate the remuneration payable to mayors, deputy mayors and councillors.
The 11 December 2009 amended remuneration schedule replaced the original schedule in the tribunal report, on pages 31–33. The tribunal's decision was published in the Queensland Government Gazette on 18 December 2009.
